Sparks Fly On September 5

So i got my first baptizimal date!!!! Its on September 5th. This lady (Lynn Dennison) was a referral from bishop. We went over and taught her the first lesson (restoration). Then the next lesson (plan of salvation). We then invited her to be baptized we said. "We know that you have felt the spirit as we have been talking with you. We would like you to be baptized as your Savior, Jesus Christ was, and follow his example. Will you be baptized on September 5th?" And she said Yes! We were so happy. She has Crones disease. :( sad i know. But it was a great lesson. She also has a smoking problem that she has been trying to quit but our mission has a stop smoking program that we're going to work with her on. She wants to stop so its even better.

We have been doing a lot of church tours lately with members and non members. It has been a growing experience. We go into one room and talk about the apostasy and how the gospel has been taken away then restored multiple times. The lights are off and each time we turn a flash light on the pictures of the prophets, Adam, Moses, Noah, Abraham etc. then go into another room with photos of Jesus Christ all over and the song, i need thee every hour plays. it is amazing. The spirit is so strong. Then we talk about his earthly ministry and how he was crucified and his apostles died etc. and then we shut the lights off and the music off all at once. Then you have a gloomy feeling and want them back on. Next we walk around the dark halls to the chapel and in it we have a large picture of Christ and the apostles and President Monson's photo at the front of the stand and watch a Mormon messages movie 'The Restoration' by L Tom Perry. Then we talk about Joseph Smith and how this gospel has been restored etc. its really cool. Then while they are feeling the spirit we commit them to find someone to bring on this tour within the next 7 days, and everyone that we did this to thought of someone right off. It was awesome!

We took President Archibald and his wife on it and they really liked it. we have had a lot of success with it. We do about 4-8 tours between Sunday and Monday nights depending on how many we decide to schedule.
