Hey!

This week was a blast! Last p-day we went out to the Lake that the Crawford's have a lot on. It was fun! He has a little golf cart that we rode on haha. I also he'd a member's snake. I'm not a huge fan of them.... I do remember what Bishop Miller always told us, that snakes live under rocks, and when you see a snake and its not under a rock, its your responsibilty to put one on it hahaha.

Everyone keeps telling me that i'll need to prepare for going home, and its driving me crazy!! haha, i'll be prepared and ready when i am there, until then i'm a missionary and this is what i do. haha. If you can, as you email me, it is absolutely fine with me if you forget to metion how much time i have left :) its most prefered if possible :)

Susan's baptism was great. Elder Teig baptized her. It was his first time. He did pretty good. She didn't tell us before hand that she was afraid of water, so when he went to put her under the water, she went stiff like a board and her head hit the railing (not hard) but it was very close. Nonetheless, she had the biggest smile on her face that you'd ever see! she was very early and excited to get baptized.

Justine is supposed to be baptized this weekend. She got sick this week. She has a blood infection. We went to her house in between classes to see if she'd be up to coming to church, since she needed to so she can be baptized, she was lying on the couch and you could just tell that she wasn't feeling good. We told her she needed to go and she got up and said, ok lets go to church. She is like Job. She is having so many trials and obstacles that are trying to hold her back from getting baptized. It is amazing how much opposition we are facing right now.

5th ward had a bbq this past weekend and Awer brought 10 people with her! We spoke to 2 of them and we'll be teaching them this week! Awer is so sweet! she wants to have us over for dinner here soon! i'm excited for that!

Well my time is out, but i want you to know that i do KNOW that these things are true. Jesus Christ is our Saviour and our Redeemer and that He Lives! Sharing the gospel is where you gain a greater understanding of these things. If you every question your own testimony, share it and invite other so to learn and your testimony will grow!

Hey!
Its been such a crazy busy week this week. Elder Teig is sweet! (pronounced Tig as in Tiger) He is from Midway, Utah near Heber. He has been out for 9 months. His family has 9 kids, 7 older sisters and 1 younger brother! I'm just glad it him not me. I can barely handle 1 older and 1 younger sister haha...jk,

We've been super busy this week. We taught 23 lessons. It was good. Gary is still preparing for this weekend. He's changed a lot since I've started working with him. He's come a long way. I'm so excited for him. He is going on day 5 of not smoking so he's cruising. He told me yesterday at church that if his cast doesn't come off his foot this week as planned then we're wrapping it in a bag. Before when we told him he said he didn't want to do it so that really caught me off guard.

Saturday night on our way home to finish our weekly planning for the week, i felt prompted that we needed to go by a less-active, Niki Vosloo, so we went and knocked on her door and she answered and we talked to her for 15-20 minutes and she committed herself to come to church on Sunday. She told us that it must be a sign from God that she needs to come to church because we've been the 4th time missionaries have come by. It was really cool to see that Heavenly Father would let us know where to go right then. She didn't make it to church. We called her and she said that her kids woke up late and they took forever to get ready and they were past the time and would have been late. She told us she'd come next week. She also said that she psyched herself out because she wasn't sure who she was going to sit by and where to take her kids etc, which was bad on our part, but now it's been brought to our attention that we need to be sure to think of those things before hand.

We got a phone call from our Zone Leaders last night telling us that p-day next monday had been cancelled and moved to Tuesday. That is because Richard G. Scotts is coming to Lethbridge to speak to the YSA and then he is speaking to us, so we get to go there and meet with him! I'm so excited! it's going to be great! I'm stoked.

Well, i don't know what to say now haha

Hey,
it was a slower week with our appointments cause we had a lot of them cancel. We only got 12 lessons, but we have 25 set up for this next week!

Oh before i forget, you should be on page 137 in the book of Mormon as of today. I'm being sure to stay on top of it, or it gets away to fast!

Church yesterday was great! the entire testimony meeting was centered around missionary work. One of the testimony's was especially great! It was Michael Johnson's (he comes with us to a lot of our appointments). He went to the temple with his brother & aunts to have his mom's temple work done for her. Michael doesn't have a recommend so he sat in the Lobby for 2 1/2 hours. He said, being in the lobby must be like the Terrestrial kingdom, being in a great place but you can go everywhere. He said it felt like eternity and that it was miserable. I don't understand why anyone would want to go to the Terrestrial Kingdom. It was a pretty good testimony.

The weather here has cooled down a lot! We woke up today and there is 5-7 inches of snow down and the great part about it is they don't plow the roads so a lot of people get stuck, but it makes it good for missionary work. On our way to the library, right by the church, there was a lady with her car stuck at the bottom of her driveway and so we hurry and pulled over and helped push her out & parked on the street, and then tomorrow morning we're going over to scrap the ice of the driveway. We were there just at the right time!

Nicole is doing good. She is facing A LOT of temptations and Satan is really working on her. It is crazy! If anyone has any advice or something that helped you through a difficult time, email it to me and I'll get it to Nicole. I can only imagine how hard it would be to completely change your life and everything you do, and come to a place where your the only one in your family.

Chris McClure (met him 17 months ago at the zoo & ended up getting baptized), came out with us for 4 hours on Saturday. Our lessons cancelled so we did stop-by's the entire time. During that time, we ran into 3 athesists and got a lot of rejection and Chris kept telling us that we're like the plague, no one wants it. (but they don't know what there rejecting first off). After Chris told us that he now understands why it is so important to invite people because they know me and that i'm a real person with real challenges and then since gospel is a real thing that can help us through problems we all face. It was a real eye opener for him.

Laura & Ian Knight took us out for lunch on Thursday. It was great food! We went to the Delta hotel's lunch buffet. It was very nice to visit with the two of them. They seem to be doing quite well which is nice to see.

Uh. it has been a crazy week. We got 33 lessons, 2 new investigators, 3 referrals, and Ian got baptized! i don't think i could wish for much more! haha.Ian's baptism was nice. We didn't baptize him the normal way because of his stoke he has balance problems so he knelt down and was baptized forward. He held on to the side of the font the first time because its a habit so he doesn't fall etc so i had to baptize him twice. haha. It was nice though. The spirit was very strong and Ian was very happy. I'm planning on coming back up in November when they go through the temple.
I also got to attend his confirmation! it was amazing! i loved it. I saw so many familiar faces in Midnapore. Everyone was surprised to see me there haha. Yes i saw the Stewards. There awesome haha. I got a photo with Bro. Steward to send to Ben haha.

I can't believe Jace is home! What a fast 2 years. I bet he has an Southern Accent haha. That'd be awesome to have. haha What a stud.


I don't really need/want anything for Christmas. I have everything i need....

We got a self-referral this week! Luke and Jordan, they both attend a Christian College here and are interested in learning more about the "Mormons". We brought a Recent Convert with us, Jessie, and it a killer lesson. Luke is more in tune with the spirit and is more open. Jordan i think has read more anti, and was more questionable of things.

We have 3 lessons set through members to teach non-members, so hopefully we'll get 3 new investigators. One of them, Jacklyn, had a dream when she was 18 after her father died, that there are 3 kingdoms in heaven and that we lived with God before here and that we came here for a purpose and then we return back to live with him! haha We're totally teaching her the Plan of Salvation on Thursday! I'm so excited! I wouldn't be surprised if she got baptized soon!

Anyways we changed a guy's tire last week when i went on exchanges with some of my district. Elder Pugmire and i saw a guy that was trying to change his tire, but his jack was upside down so i knew he needed assistance so we went over in our suits and changed his tire! haha it only took us 10 minutes. it was awesome! haha We gave him a pass-along card and got his address and we're taking a book of Mormon to him in Arabic! Its cool.
Yesterday i already set up 34 lessons for this week! it'll be good!
Well i don't have much else to say. Keep me in your prayers and Jacklyn, Zac, E. Truman, Luke, Jordan, Bridgette, and Kira in your prayers too!`

Hey, things are going good. I can't believe it is already Monday again. Time is just going by way to fast. This past week we did a lot. We mainly taught members. We don't have any investigators right now :( hopefully we get some here soon though. 1 year ago when we went to the zoo, Elder Hendershot was my companion at the time and we went with Chris Scott (a recent convert). We met one of her friends from there, Chris McClure. Well when i got transferred here he is in my ward! he got baptized 1 year ago and still remembered everything we talked about at the zoo because he couldn' t believe we didn't drink coffee so then he took the lessons! its amazing to see how he was 1 year ago and then now, trying to share the gospel with everyone he meets! it is amazing how the gospel can transform us if we let it.

There is a lot of work to be done in this area. It has been a bit tough trying to get things into shape. My comp. doesn't really get along with me it seems. He likes to zone me out so it hard to get through sometimes. oh well. He's been out 5 months so what do you expect. After 16 months you tend to get along with everyone no matter who they are. He'll figure it out at some point in his mission that life is tough sometimes. I've got lost of inspiration on some things that will help us find lots of people. Its exciting. We are going to try and get 33 lessons this week! quite the goal but i know we can make it.

Halloween up here was alright. We didn't do to much because we had to be inside by 6pm. We were invited over to Tamara, Jena, Anne, and Diana's for dinner. They made us Cafe Rio! it was good but not the same. Elder Truman got some black paper and cut 3 circles out and put them on his shirt and was a 3 hole punched Elder Truman. We also got to carve pumpkins. It was fun.

Hey! how's it going?

Things in Calgary are great! i'm excited to be here again. Edworthy Park YSA is awesome. its fun that is for sure. We're over a whole stake. It covers all of downtown Calgary and a bunch of outskirt areas bordering downtown. Its funny going from a city of 10,000 to a city of 1 million. all overnight hahaha. Quite an experience.

My companion, Elder Truman is a sweet kid. I'm so lucky haha. He is from Las Vegas. He has been out about 4 months. Serving in a YSA ward is really different than i thought i'd be like, but its good.

Ian is getting baptized on November 13th! i'm so excited to be there!

We set a goal to baptize 3 people this transfer so please keep this in your prayers! we had a baptism last Saturday! her name is Kati! she has been meeting with missionaries for 3 weeks! Golden Contact! We will be teaching her sister this week hopefully! it'd be nice.

Well, thanks so much for everything. I hope all of you will write me!

Well i'm gettting transfered to the Calgary South Zone again! for the 3rd time! Woohoo. i'll be in the same zone that the Knights live in!

I am now a District Leader. It'll be interesting. I"m excited though! sorry i don't have time but thanks for everythign!
